The stock NP249 transfer case was shelved in favor of an NP231 equipped with a heavy-duty slip-yoke eliminator kit. The 231's part-time function and the manual locking hubs of the swapped-in Dynatrac Dana 44 up front allow Tom to run on the highway without spinning the front drive components.
