Warn Industries Winds Prestigious Awards for New Product
The awards were for the company's newest truck product, the PowerPlant Dual Force, a first-of-its-kind vehicle-mounted tool that combines a high-performance air compressor and Warn winch in a self-contained unit. Typical uses for the PowerPlant Dual Force include airing up a vehicle's tires, powering air tools, inflating rafts, and vehicle recovery. The awards included SEMA's Best New Off-Road/4-Wheel Drive Product, Popular Mechanics' Editor's Choice Award, General Motors' 2006 SEMA Design Award for Best New Accessory, and runner-up for SEMA's Best New Packaging Design.

Additionally, the international press presented Warn Industries with four SEMA International Product Awards for offering a product that has potential for success in their respective countries. These publications included 4x4 Australia, CAR: The Motoring Journal of Southern Africa (South Africa), South African 4x4 Off-Road Adventure Magazine, and Auto Zulia Magazine (Venezuela). President and CEO of Warn Industries, Tom Giacomini, said, "As a company, we focused on what our customers wanted: an onboard air compressor and a Warn winch. We are very pleased to have received several awards for the PowerPlant at this year's SEMA Show, and Warn Industries will continue to focus on our customers when creating new products."

Maxxis Rolls to the Podium at W.E. Rock
Adding to its string of successes throughout the year, Maxxis-sponsored rockcrawlers took multiple podiums at the 2006 W.E.ROCK World Championships. Jessie Haines and spotter Brian Howard took Second Place in the Unlimited class, with Danny Rohrer and Chad Rolfert nabbing Third in the Limited class. Dan Patterson and Bob Roggy scored the third spot on the podium in the Modified Stock class. The W.E.ROCK Championships were held November 3-4 in Henderson, Nevada.

For Haines, the highlight of the contest was "to be able to compete against teams that are considered the best in the world - teams from Canada, Mexico, and Australia." Haines rides Creepy Crawlers, and he noted, "We haven't had any trouble all year. I wouldn't run any other tire."

Rohrer found the contest challenging. "It was very tough," he said. "From the super-modified to the modified, they changed the course very little. It was very tight and tough to maneuver through, but it was really fun. The Trepadors did well - no problem at all."

Rohrer is no stranger to the podium, having won the Modified class championship in the UROC East series in October.
