Ready for Anything
A family that camps together stays together. Brandon and Tammy Roby and their trusty canines have spent many weekends together camping. Not only is their '84 Toyota pickup truck equipped with camping gear, it's also been modified to take on the toughest trails. Brandon tells us he has swapped in a 22R motor with EFI conversion, a TRD camshaft, Marlin Crawler protection gear, dual transfer cases, 5.29 gears, and Detroit Lockers. He also custom-bobbed the bed for better clearance, installed a 4-inch All-Pro suspension system, and mounted 35-inch Goodyear MT/R tires.
No Lift Needed
Jessica Croteau of Manchester, New Hampshire, has pushed the limits of her stock '05 Jeep Wrangler nearly every weekend since she bought it. Although her rig is currently not sporting any modifications, she is no slouch when it comes to pushing through a local mud hole, climbing over rocks, or digging her way out of a sand pit. Jessica plans to add a suspension lift to clear 35-inch tires, some protection equipment, and an assortment of safety and navigational tools.
Leave Nothing to Chance
When it comes to highly modified vehicles, Bill Johnson's '92 Suzuki Samurai is nothing short of prepared. To give you the full rundown of what he has done with his trail rig would take up this entire page. A few key modifications include a 6.4:1 transfer case, a Spidertrax Sidewinder full-floating rear axle, ARB Air Lockers front and rear, an SOA conversion, 33-inch Swamper tires, a six-point rollcage, dual Optima batteries, and much more.
Change of Scenery
Anthony Winston and his group of wheelers from Eugene, Oregon, often find themselves trekking into the Cascades for some time away from the daily grind. He sent us this photo from a recent trip into the La Pine, Oregon, trail system. Anthony's '04 Jeep Wrangler is running a Rubicon Express 2-inch lift, 31-inch Wild Country tires, and 15x8 Mickey Thompson Classic wheels.
