1986 Suzuki Samurai Project 4X4 - Project Sami Supreme
In addition to the Wild Bore carburetor upgrade, this segment also features some new additions to the rig and finally some real Sami Supreme action from the trail. this project has been anything but easy, but it is clear just after the first few test runs that all of the hard work and invested time was well worth every penny and evening spent in the garage. Sami Supreme is almost complete, but as with any project of this caliber, "it's never done." stay tuned, as there just may be more to come on Project Sami Supreme!
Military ammunition boxes were strategically placed to provide storage and easy access to all of the necessities such as recovery tools, the first-aid kit, wrenches, and everything else you might need on the trail. | A 2-1/2-gallon jerrycan is securely mounted above the fuel cell with a custom bracket featuring permanent studs and wing nuts for easy removal. this is a nice addition to any trail rig that sees long-distance adventures. | The third test run for sami supreme was the infamous rubicon trail. the sami performed flawlessly, tackling obstacles it's never been able to conquer before. one of the most notorious obstacles, soup Bowl, has always been an unconquerable benchmark until now. |
Bringing this rig into the digital age is a sophisticated hi-fi system consisting of an MP3 player and a cheap amplifier connected to the factory speakers. Believe it or not, this minimalist system is surprisingly loud! | Just in case the sami supreme gets in trouble, a simple D-ring welded to the rear bumper provides a suitable attachment point for winches and towstraps. Not that we'll ever need it though. | |
